Digitize your logs.  Copy them.  Take pictures.  Whatever it takes, make sure you have a second copy of your airframe, engine, and prop logs.  Depending on the aircraft, should you lose the records, you’ll likely be penalized upwards of 10% of the value of your plane.  We had a client not too long ago who took the extra time to digitize his logs about a week before someone stole the originals out of the back seat of his car.  This simple step saved him a huge sum of money.  We had another client who called to get the digitized records we had on file because his original books were lost in his mechanics house fire.  He escaped a loss in value too
